I shot Andrea’s sister’s wedding back in 2008 and I fell in love with her family! They are all so fun and loving. Andrea is an incredibly sensitive, sweet woman and she has found the perfect match in Jessy. The moment that Andrea put on her beautiful dress in the morning she started to cry because she was overwhelmed with the love that she has for Jessy! It was beautiful. I had a chance to speak with Jessy at the reception and he told me the story of their connection, and I can truly say these two are meant for one and other. They share so many of the same interests and the same sense of humor, they are deeply connected and I wish them all the happiness in the world. They both deserve it!

Tara and Trevor are not only a beautiful couple in photos, they are truly beautiful people in real life too! The words they spoke to their families and friends and to each other at the reception, had me in tears behind my camera. These are two people that understand what life is about. They get that relationships are important and they are building a very strong and powerful marriage. Tara and Trevor, I wish you all the best with your lives together, and I hope that you have wonderful luck in building your home and creating a big family to fill it with love. Thank you so much for choosing me to be part of your wedding! It was a pleasure to work with you on such a special day.

Jarrett and Jackie are such an awesome couple. At first impression they seem to be very opposite in many ways but click perfectly. Jarrett has one of the biggest personalities that I have ever seen and Jackie carries herself with incredible grace. The two define the word balance from what I can see. Shooting this wedding was a pleasure for me.  They are such a fun couple, and their wedding party was a blast. They had thought through every moment of this day, it was planned perfectly! Jarrett and Jackie I wish you the very best in your up coming adventure as newly weds traveling the world.

I have been looking forward to Jenny and Adrian’s wedding since our engagement shoot. They are so completely in love with one and other and it is obvious that they are each others best friend! Jenny and Adrian thank you so much for letting me part of your day, you are both incredible people and I wish you great happiness in your life together!

Last Saturday I had the pleasure of photographing Jennifer and Mitch’s outdoor wedding just outside of stony plain. It was a beautiful celebration of two people who are crazy about each other! Thank you both so much for including me in your wedding day. You were incredible to work with and it was very obvious that you are deeply in love and very happy with one another. Congratulations on your marriage!

Saturday was the big day for Cory and Lindsay. It was a long awaited event, and everything went wonderfully! I always make the effort to notice the relationships that my couples share with their friends to give me insight into the kind of people that they are. Lindsay and Cory are both incredibly kind, fun and easy going. They have great friends and love each other deeply!  Thank you both so much for letting me be part of your special day!

Summer, as you know, is high season for Karla Snider Photography with all the weddings, engagements and family shoots going on. It is also a very busy season for Lipstick & Lace. Boudoir is quickly becoming one of the most popular, unique and personal gifts for grooms, husbands and boyfriends for weddings, anniversaries and birthdays. Single women are also coming into the studio to pamper and celebrate themselves with a Boudoir Shoot. Lipstick & Lace is now offering boudoir shoots to couples, who are wanting tasteful and intimate photos to capture their intimate side.

This week was exceptionally busy here at the Lipstick & Lace Studio. City TV’s Breakfast Television came in to film and interview me for a feature that they are running on Boudoir Photography. Boudoir Photography is so close to my heart, and it is so important to me that women start to realize the power of these shoots.  I was so excited to be part of this.  It will be airing tomorrow (Friday July 2, 2010) between 6- 9 am on City TV’s Breakfast Television. Check it out!

Lauriane Rutberg came in to do the makeup for the mini shoot, and did a stunning job, as always! Although I have to say her canvas was pretty amazing! Helen, one of my lovely past clients was brave enough to be the model for the shoot. Helen came into the studio last year for a private Boudoir Shoot, and was immediately one of my favorite people! She is just so beautiful, and sweet. Thank you so much Helen for being so brave and for being so supportive of Lipstick & Lace. Having a camera guy in the room, although he was extremely professional and easy going, is not typical of a shoot and I know it would have been a little awkward.

Saturday was a wonderful day for a wedding, and Jeremiah and Martha were the most inspiring couple! I will admit that I have been known to tear up during the reception speeches at past weddings, but it is very rare for me to cry during a wedding ceremony. Jeremiah and Martha spoke the most beautiful words during their vows, and the emotion that was expressed brought tears to my eyes. The sincerity and words of love only continued into the evenings speeches, as I photographed family and friends express their love for this amazing couple. Jeremiah and Martha are good people, who live truth and love in each step along their journey and it was truly an honor to be part of this special day as they start their lives together!

Weddings are truly all about Love. And so is Valentine’s Day. This year for Valentine’s Day I am celebrating true, long lasting, forever love.

Look into the eyes of the one you are with this Valentine’s Day and remember what you first saw in them. See the excitement you felt at the beginning of your relationship in their eyes. If you are already married, remember the bliss of your wedding day or the days of your engagement. Bring that emotion to the surface and express it in it’s completion. If you are engaged and about to journey on love’s path, express how excited you are for your life together.
